Minimum order definition
A minimum order is defined as 1 case (6 x 75cl) bottles, or the equivalent of, of Champagne. The only exception being Cristal Rose 1 x case of (3 x 75cl) bottles.
The Contract
Once Champagneuk.com receives an order via this web site, an offer to purchase is constituted on the part of the customer. Only when Champagneuk.com confirms the order via email communication to the customer, shall a contract exist between Champagneuk.com and the customer. Prices provided in a written quotation to the customer from Champagneuk.com as a result of an inquiry to this web site shall be valid for 30 days from the dispatch date of the written quotation.
Shipping and delivery
Standard delivery is next day throughout England, Wales, Southern Scotland excluding G84, up to, and including postcodes (AB10-25, 30, 32 and 39 – 43, PH1 – 18 and PA1 – 19). If goods are delivered to an incorrect address as a result of incorrect information provided by the customer to Champagneuk.com will not take responsibility and the customer will pay for the cost of replacement goods and the cost of delivering the replacement goods to the correct address.
Breakages
The customer will be responsible for checking their goods upon receipt of delivery. Should there be any defect or shortage in the order, to prevent fraudulent damage claims, we would ask that you make us aware of a problem within 24 hours of receipt of delivery either by email or telephone. Breakages, defects and shortage, reported later than this will not be entered into.
Quality
We offer a guarantee of quality for 30 days ; if any wine proves to be corked, or in any other way faulty as a result of the winemaking process, we will generally replace it or, if you prefer, issue a refund or credit note to the value of the purchase price, to a maximum of 2 opened bottles per case or 1 for vintage champagne, and replace all the other unopened bottles from the case during this period. We have great confidence in the champagne we sell and do not expect any quality issues with it, however if you experience any quality issues with the champagne after the initial 30 day period please contact us and we will at our discretion endeavour to rectify them. Other than this, we place a great deal of trust in the integrity of our customers - all we ask is that common sense should prevail in deciding whether what is in the bottle is truly faulty (as a result of the winemaking process) or simply the result of poor storage conditions by the customer.
If you have any questions or comments regarding our guarantee policy, or wish to report a faulty wine, please contact us by letter or e-mail, and we will do our best to respond as quickly as possible.
Delivery schedule
Delivery of goods is made by courier. We endeavour to dispatch your wines the same working day as receiving your order. When payment is made by credit or debit card, in most cases your wine will arrive the next day (see Shipping and Delivery section for further details). Deliveries by carrier are not made on Saturdays, Sundays, or Bank Holidays. Should there be a delay in normal delivery schedule, this will be advised on our website. If this applies, your order may still be placed, and will be processed for delivery when normal delivery scheduling returns.
Returns Policy
Goods should be returned in the same condition in which they were supplied, and with bottles unopened, at the customer‘s expense. The retail price of Champagne will then be refunded in accordance with the code. This does not apply to export orders outside with European Union!
Liability limitation
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by us or our employees or agents in circumstances where:
- loss or damage was not foreseeable to both parties when the contract was formed;
