An opulent incandescent wine made with only the finest grapes of the Laurent Perrier vineyards. This wine is bottle aged for at least seven years, giving it the superb finish that it has today.
Wine Making:
This year saw a rash of diverse and severe weather conditions with a harsh frost in November to snow in April, with short burst of mild sunshine. Despite the heavy rainfall in September, the quality of the vineyards never faltered and as a result, produced some of the finest, strong, heavy bunches that the Champagne house has ever seen. This in turn led to the excellent quality of the cuvee used in this outstanding wine, which after fermentation, is left to age for at least seven years.
Tasting Notes:
A shimmering vivid gold, with a delicate chain of fine, unremitting bubbles. The nose is intricate and multilayered with tones of fresh, citrus fruit and nuts. The palate is marvellously well rounded with a decadent creamy texture and flavours such as lemon tart and cherry.
